Design inspiration
The feeling of
a better home.
An edited collection of architectural ideas to help you describe what matters. Not a portfolio of our work.
Discuss your project01 / Coastal calm
Give the outdoors
a place in the plan.
Think about where you want natural light, what you would like to look out towards and which parts of the home should feel private. Ask your designer to work through orientation and shading as part of the overall design.
Keep the brief specific: a place to read in the morning, a bedroom that feels quiet, or a living space that connects with the garden.
Start a design conversation02 / Warm and considered
Less noise.
More intention.
A restrained palette can help the old and new parts of a home feel connected. Collect references for materials, proportions and the feeling of a room, rather than trying to combine every feature from every image.
For your brief, choose three things you want the finished home to feel like. Calm, light and practical might be more useful than a long list of finishes.
Explore master suite ideas03 / Everyday living
Make room
for real life.
Imagine an ordinary weekday in the proposed layout. Where do school bags go? Can somebody work without taking over the dining table? How do the bedroom and living zones relate?
The purpose of inspiration is a better conversation. Your designer, engineer and builder will need to test the ideas against the home, budget and applicable requirements.
